The German Commission for UNESCO is providing the Education for Sustainable Development web portal as a contribution to the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. We offer information on topics and stakeholders, teaching materials, competitions, events and on implementation of the UN Decade in Germany and internationally.

The portal is a measure of the UN Decade National Plan of Action that has been instituted with the support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. An advisory panel made up of members of the German National Committee of the UN Decade advises on technical issues.
