Who can apply?
All institutions, organisations, companies and project contractors that have instituted Education for Sustainable Development initiatives may apply: e.g. kindergartens, schools, universities, services and other companies, authorities, non-governmental organisations, local interest groups and individual projects!
How do you apply?
Application forms to apply to be a Decade Project have been made available and they explain the procedure and provide background information.
What does recognition involve?
When official Decade Projects are awarded recognition, they receive a flag, a stamp, a certificate and the UN Decade digital logo with “Official World Decade Project” added. A metal plaque bearing the logo may also be obtained for 60 Euros. As a general rule, these are formally handed over at a recognition ceremony.
Composition of the jury and criteria for recognition as a Decade Project
The expert jury is composed of members of the German National Committee for the UN Decade . It has laid down the following criteria for recognition of Official German Decade Projects. Distinction is made between first-time applications and repeat applications.
