Development of a Master of Arts Program: Management for sustainable education and development

The University of Applied Sciences in Erfurt in cooperation with Thuringian ESD partners, the Koordinationsstelle Dekade Thüringen (Thuringian Decade Coordination Office) and the Thuringian Ministry of Culture, is developing and establishing the above-mentioned Master’s Program. The contents and methods of the MA modules are developed by partners and professors from various faculties in workshops and working groups. The Master’s Program will be offered by the Faculty of Social Studies, but it will have an interdisciplinary and international orientation. It will be launched in the fall term of 2010. The "project", i.e. the preparatory phase of the MA program, began in October 2007. Meanwhile cooperation agreements between the partners have been signed. An application for ESF support has been filed. The main phase commenced in September 2008. The master’s degree should be accredited and the program ready to start by 2010.
