What role does climate change play in educational efforts? How can progress in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) be tracked? Which ethical principles should ESD be based on? These are some of the questions, which will be discussed in the new Online Magazine. The first edition has an international focus, providing an insight into ESD-discussions and activities in other countries and on other continents. We can only present a small extract, however enough to show that the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development is leaving its mark in many places around the world. The UNESCO task-manager, Aline Bory-Adams spoke out on this issue in a recent interview. Cooperations and networks as well as examples of good practice will also be presented.
